The Good: HOLY CRAP there is a lot going on in this movie! We really liked the layered plot and every time we thought we knew what was going to happen it changed. Shia LaBeouf did a good job-- surprisingly believable, it's just insane to see him playing a serious character, and not having innocent adventures on the Disney Channel. Michael Douglas is an all-star. If you want a good plot and some emotional ups and downs then this is perfect for you.
The Bad: Maybe is it was just us, but some things were a little hard to understand because of our lack of wall street vocabulary. We aren't sure if we are the only ones who struggled with that a bit, but it took us a while to figure out what some of the phrases and things meant. So there will be several parts of this movie where you won't know what's going on, but on the bright side the movie throws a lot of flashy lights your day, so you may be confused but you'll always be entertained.
The Ugly: The ugly truth is that this movie is a strong drama. It is complex and requires you to watch it without multi-tasking. However, it is pretty captivating, so it isn't a huge issue. The cast does a great job in this film and the intensity of wall street appears to be accurately portrayed.
