The Bad: Both C and A had a hard time thinking about what was bad in this movie and we honestly couldn't find any major flaws. If anything, the only annoyance we had was how Ralston's flashbacks blurred together, making it so we couldn't tell half the time if he got out from under the rock or not. There was a part of the movie where A yelled "YAY! He got out!" just to find he was fooled by a flashback and Franco's arm was still being hugged by the rock.
The Ugly: The ugly truth about this movie is that large rocks have murderous tendencies. This movie is VERY inspirational to watch, and the two of us were bawling half the time. Even though there is a semi-gruesome scene, this movie is a must see. The two of us found that we really appreciated our family and friends after watching it.

Ok, ok! I'll watch the movie!!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you fell for the false-escape sequence. As soon as the water started rising I was like....wait a minute, they's gon try foolin me ain't they. You'll have to steel yourself against future cinematic sneakiness sir. Good movie though. I loved that they didn't try to heroize (How on earth is that spelled?) Ralston. The movie harps on his flaws and self-realizations instead of making him seem like some gritty wilderness god. One or two people I know that have met him say hes kind of a moron.
ReplyDeletehaha, It never rains that much in UTAH!! It's true I did like that the film makers made him suffer like a true human would, and not turn him into a cocky version of Superman.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm sure he is stupid, I mean... HELLO! he got his arm stuck in a FREAKEN rock!! lol, but I do give my sympathies. We shant wait for the next Avatar movie to come out in order to get together James.
